It's funny how by receiving record numbers of donations, Obama is actually taking money out of politics. When he gets into office, who will he owe? Us. Not big oil, not pharmaceuticals, but those of us who donated $5, $25, or $100.

mmhmm, i guess you're right, but i'm not sure if you've seen some survey usa polling that's recently been done, but pawlenty fares the worst out of any vp choice for McCain in 5 swing states (Penn, Ohio, Virginia, Iowa, and one more I can't remember), so i don't think Tpaw is gonna get the nod.

Well it's one of the 15 or so states that both campaigns will be hitting pretty heavily. And plus, Obama is up 13 before the convention is in town, not that it will necessarily make a huge difference, but it is worth noting. Also, there is a possibility of Pawlenty being VP. There is a lot of time between now and Nov. 5th.

I really don't know if calling MN a swing state is entirely accurate. Last poll I saw Obama was up on McCain by 13 points, 51-38.

I think the choice of the Xcel is more an eff-you because this is where McCain will accept the nomination.

I love how candidates can wander around the country promoting how responsible they are while completely neglecting their current positions. Sure, a candidacy is a time commitment, but being a Senator was a commitment made long before the race began.
