Just a few minutes ago Ted Kennedy’s doctor announced that the cause of the Senator’s weekend seizure was a malignant brain tumor; specifically they diagnosed a malignant glioma in the left parietal lobe.

A potential course of treatment has not yet been released to the press and doctors offered no prognosis. Kennedy is expected to stay at Massachusetts General Hospital for the next couple days in line with standard procedure and is “in good spirits and full of energy” according to the doctor’s statement.
