Now that he’s out of the running for President, Republican Ron Paul is devoting more time to his place in Congress. He won the primary in his home state of Texas, easily beating out opponent Chris Peden. The latest results show him ahead 70% to 30%.
Paul will now serve another term in Congress, although many of the staunch conservatives in his district were opposed to his views on the Iraq war. They pushed for Peden, but he wasn’t strong enough to beat out the now mainstream phenomenon of Paul.
It may not be the White House, but we haven’t seen the end of good ‘ol Ron Paul and his war bashing, IRS hating, quite possibly racist ways yet.
