The US hit the Somali town of Dobley Monday morning in an airstrike against Islamic extremist terrorist suspects. Eight people were injured and some were still trapped in the ruined buildings when at least two bombs were dropped.
“It was a deliberate, precise strike against a known terrorist and his associates,” said an anonymous US military official.
This attack comes after Islamic leader Hassan Turki returned to the area on Sunday and took over Dobley. In 2007, his radical group was driven out of the country by Somali and Ethiopian troops, but have continued to fight for power since then.
