Remember that military spending bill that Bush and Republicans were so happy to have pass Congress before the end of the year? Well, after months of harassing Congress for not acting quickly enough to support the troops, Bush is actually vetoing a military spending bill.
The veto was an embarrassment for administration officials, who [...]

Breaking news from Pakistan: Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was assassinated after giving a speech to supporters. The killer shot at her car, then used a suicide bomb, killing himself and at least 22 others in the blast.
Bhutto recently returned to Pakistan from her 8-year exile in Great Britain to garner support for creating democracy [...]

No matter what you think about Hillary Clinton’s amount of experience, this is a good read to understand exactly what she was doing as First Lady for 8 years. The basic gist of the story is that although Hillary was aware of and around for many of her husband’s major policy decisions, she did not [...]

I am actually writing this from the town the Des Moines Register article mentions, Grundy Center, Iowa, a town of 2,531 who has seen 13 presidential campaign visits for the ‘08 election. The part of the article that caught my eye however, were the quotes from Republican residents saying they would vote for Obama. Consdier [...]

In a Zogby poll released December 20th, Bearer of Hope Barack Obama leads all Republican candidates in head-to-head match-ups whereas Clinton only leads Romney by 2% (Obama leads by 18%) and would even lose to John McCain who is all but finished. One of my main reasons I cannot support Hillary Clinton is she simply [...]

Seventeen year old Nataline Sarkisyan died this week after her health care provider denied to cover a potentially life-saving liver transplant. Doctors at UCLA decided that Nataline needed a liver transplant to survive but CIGNA denied payment stating that they do not cover “experimental, investigational, or unproven services” and that there was a lack of [...]

Realizing that her dirty politics are getting her nowhere, and her constant repetition of her “experience” has put her in second-place in Iowa, Hillary has changed her message. Her latest helicopter tour of Iowa is focusing on showing her softer side and her focus on bringing change (who does that sound like she’s copying?). However, the [...]

Al Franken, who my lady friend likes because he “looks like a turtle,” is also a candidate seeking the DFL nomination to run for Senate in Minnesota. He appeared on Minnesota Public Radio’s show “Midday” for their Meet the Candidates series. Franken spoke on many topics, ranging from Iran and Iraq, to gay marriage [...]

Clever title huh? You know something is screwy when a REPUBLICAN governor wants to sue the EPA because they won’t let him have stricter laws on emissions. However, that’s exactly what is happening as California Governor Arnold Scwarzenegger has sworn to sue the EPA for refusing the Sunshine State’s request for a [...]

And so begins the gradual weeding out of presidential candidates…
Republican candidate Tom Tancredo (shown above, absolutely enthralling his audience) dropped out of the race today after having recent poll percentages of only 1-3 %. Tancredo’s main focus throughout the race was tightening laws on illegal immigration, and he says that his goal to put [...]

Well, that was quick. The House of Reps passed the spending bill that included the $70 billion for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. This probably won’t be the last war spending bill we pass before the end of ‘08. Bush asked for $196 billion, and at our current rate of spending $2 billion a [...]

Apparently newscasters, especially on CNN, still have difficulty with Barack Obama’s name. Yes, we know it’s “foreign,” but let’s work on keeping our major (and radically different) political figures straight.
Both Glenn Beck and Alina Cho, broadcasters at CNN, recently called the presidential candidate Osama
“Unfortunate name,” Mr. Beck remarked.
Mitt Romney is also known for making [...]

Brief Recap:Bush asked for another $196 billion to fund the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Instead, the House of Representatives offered him $50 billion, with a timetable for troop withdrawal. Sen. Harry Reid said “he damn sure is not entitled to having this money given to him just with a blank check. [...]

Hillary Clinton is leading in a new survey by Fox 5-The Washington Times-Rasmussen Reports in the anti-vote, the percentage of voters who would vote simple to keep her out of office. While the validity of the poll could not be verified, it is still no surprise at all to anyone who has been following the [...]
